Freshtix Event Marketing Solutions

Newsletters

We send out email newsletters to hundreds of thousands of subscribers each week. In each newsletter, there are featured and sub-featured events with images, event descriptions and links to purchase tickets. We also include a list of 20+ more upcoming events in your area. For your event to be included in our newsletters, you must make sure you've uploaded your newsletter image. We find our newsletters are opened multiple times throughout the week as our readers often use them as an event guide to plan their weekend. If you would like your event included or featured in one of our eblasts, please fill out this form. We try to feature as many as we can and rotate them regularly.

Homepage Feature

We feature 16 events on the homepage of our website. These spots include events from large to small from across the country and rotate on a regular basis.

Social Media

We post regularly on our social media channels but we find it's usually best for us to partner with event organizers to share engaging content. This could be content provided by you or content that we provide for you to post on your page (such as the Ticket Giveaway Contest link). Or better yet, have any artists performing at your event post directly from their pages! We’ve found that some of the best engagement comes from posts created by the artists themselves.

Atlanta Music Guide

For those of you with events in Atlanta Georgia, we offer exposure on the widely popular music blog AtlantaMusicGuide.com Each week we spotlight some of the best upcoming events along with concert photography of the largest acts performing in our city. If you think your event is a great representation of all the great music that Atlanta has to offer, please let us know! Our photographers are available for hire to document those amazing performances.

Building a Complete Freshtix Event

  • Make sure that all the details of your event are correct (Event Date & Time, Venue Location, Ticket Prices Types etc… )
  • Include a 600x400 Newsletter Image in your event. This is the main image that will be seen on our website and is required to be included in our weekly newsletter.
  • Provide a Short & Long description of the event. Tell everyone about how great your event will be! We’ve seen the best response when you share a story about why your event is worth attending rather than simply providing a list of performing artists! Here are some examples to get you started. Make sure you use a ton of SEO keywords in your event description. More information here: https://www.semrush.com/blog/seo-marketing-guide-for-events/

Send Invite Emails Using The Freshtix Platform

Freshtix allows you to send invitation emails to purchasers from your past events or upload your own invite list. Have an update for your event? You can also send emails to contact current ticket holders of your event. For example Know Before You Go emails are a great way to let patrons know about schedule changes, set times, parking and prohibited items.

Promoter Tracking Links

With Freshtix, it is easy to create a tracking link (also known as an affiliate link or “came from” code) to know how your customers found your event to purchase tickets. You can easily track the ticket sales your link has generated in the Reports section of your Event Dashboard. (Ticket Sales by UTM Source)

Facebook Event

Every event should have a Facebook Event to go along with it. The 600x400 Newsletter image can also be used as the Facebook Event image. Make sure the information is consistent between the Freshtix Event page and the Facebook Event description. Once the event is created everyone on your team should invite their friend's list to the event. Make sure the performing artists are doing the same (if they are local). Leading up to the event you should be posting relevant content (event announcements, artist links, ticket giveaways). This content should be informative as well as showcase the personality of the event and performing artists. We'll soon integrate with Facebook to allow you to publish a Freshtix event to your Facebook page and save time creating the event in two places.

Third-Party Services

Sometimes the free options just don’t cut it. Here’s a list of third-party services we recommend to help boost your sales.

  • Evvnt - a simple way to target specific groups of event-goers looking for things to do
  • Groupon - a well-established marketplace to offer customers a deal on tickets
  • Goldstar - provide discounted tickets to Goldstar’s expansive subscriber base
  • Social Ladder - turn your customers into ambassadors for promoting your event (learn how Taste of Atlanta amplified their ticket sales with SocialLadder)
  • Add ticket links to Songkick - while our events are automatically populated on sites like Songkick, make sure you’re listing and ticket links with them are accurate. You can amend them here https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdTw9HdbGQit-7a-ZoAWfE4_qwLs6chTLr4xkpCtmtwD-2pRA/viewform
  • Jambase - similar to Songkick, you can add your events and performing artists to this massive database of upcoming events.
  • Bands in Town - Make sure your event is listed on Bands in Town and consider doing a paid newsletter blast through their extensive list.
  • Facebook advertising - for prospecting and finding potential ticket buyers. If you don’t have someone on your team that is comfortable with Facebook, we can provide this service for a small fee. Utilizing Facebook Lookalike Audiences is one of the easiest ways to identify groups of people that match your existing customers.
  • Google Adwords: Similar to Facebook advertising, Google Adwords is an incredible tool for prospecting potential ticket buyers. Retargeting puts your event in front of people who have gone to your event page but didn’t pull the trigger as they visit different websites.
  • Facebook retargeting for those who came to your page but didn’t buy
  • Google retargeting for those who came to your page but didn’t buy
